THE ROOTS

We have a ternary image of the world where the past is represented by the underground world, present being the terrestrial world and the future, the world above it all. Consequently, the tree remains a graphic symbol, due to its roots the tree absorbs minerals in the deep ends of the soil as men searches for his background, the essence of his family to be anchored deeper in the ground. However, the tree is also the link between the earth and the sky, from its roots to is foliage.

This artist is an autodidact. His world is made of his visions and believes. According to Arthure, everything comes from the bowls of the earth. He keeps looking for them like an archaeologist.

As for as his style and his way of painting are concerned, Arthure has without a doubt opened a gate which had never been opened before. The raw material symbolises the running and nourishing soil that he reproduces in an exact way.
